Bond Procedures
Subjects arrested for a crime prosecuted through the Graham Municipal Court will be transported to the Jeff Davis County Jail located at 4 South William Street Hazlehurst, GA 31539. Telephone: (912) 375-6604.
Release Procedures:
Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM - Go to Graham City Hall at 9659 Golden Isle W. Baxley, GA 31513 and see the Municipal Court Clerk. Telephone: (912) 367-2202.
CASH BOND
When posting a cash bond for a person in jail, you will need to bring the correct change. We do not provide change at City Hall. When the cash bond is completed, the Court Clerk will issue you a receipt and they will then call an officer by the police department to take the release slip to the Jeff Davis Jail so the person can be released from jail.
After hours, please call (912) 367-8111 and a City Officer will assist you at the Graham City Hall with the release of the subject from the Jeff Davis Jail.
Be Advised - OCGA § 17-6-1 authorizes jails to delay posting of bond for violations of DUI (Driving under the Influence) up to six (6) hours following booking.
Juveniles will typically be released to a parent or guardian on a citation or Juvenile Complaint Form referred to the local Juvenile Court. For more information call the Graham Police Department at (912) 367-8111.

How do I retrieve a vehicle or property after an arrest?
Officer's will make a good faith effort to release motor vehicles to a person designated by the vehicle owner. If this is not possible, the vehicle will be towed to a local towing lot by a local vendor. All costs associated with towing and storage of a vehicle will be the responsibility of the vehicle's owner and paid directly to the towing vendor. Personal property will either be transported with the arrestee or will remain with the vehicle. Property deemed as evidence will be retained by the Graham Police Department pending court proceedings. What happens if I can not post bond?
As soon as is reasonably practicable following any arrest but no later than forty eight (48) hours if the arrest was without a warrant, or seventy two (72) hours following an arrest with a warrant, unless the accused has made bond in the meantime, the arresting officer or other law enforcement officer having custody of the accused shall present the accused in person before a municipal judge or other judicial officer for first appearance. The initial appearance hearing may be by telephone or video conferencing at the discretion of the municipal court judge.
